Dallas is a city full of talented mixologists and creative, ever-changing cocktail menus. It is also a place where the cost of said drinks can cost as much as a meal (think $108 bowls of craft punch at Midnight Rambler and $18 margaritas at Stampede 66). While there is a time and a place for luxurious drinks, the same can be said about a reliable watering hole where you can post up and start a tab. Well, about 5 or so years ago, a fella named Nate Pike was hanging out here with his buddies and suddenly decided that he wanted to carve a baseball bat. Pike did the honors, and then wondered what to do with it. They decided to engrave it to the bar and present it as a gift. And guess what, here’s Pike!

CraveDFW: Historic Time Out Tavern Sold to Aaron Saginaw

As of January first the historic, and original sports tavern in North Dallas, the Time Out Tavern (or commonly called The TOT) was sold to Aaron Saginaw from the original owner who is now retired, Kevin McCormack. McCormack purchased the Tavern from the previous owner 26 years ago. The Tavern was originally called the Doll House, which unlike the name might infer was a simple pub owned by Dotty Brown. “It was an old, run down bar with regulars drinking draft beer and a few bottles of whiskey,” said McCormack.
